StrangerFestival 2009 Categories

There are 7 categories of StrangerFestival 2009. The jury will classify your video entry into a categorie. Videos can participate in different categories. You cannot choose the categorie yourself.

Finalists are selected on the basis of subject, creative approach, originality, popularity and quality. The winners will be chosen by a jury of young video makers and media experts. An exception to this rule is the Audience Award:
finalists here are chosen by the visitors of this website (public
prize).

For videos limited to 5 minutes:

1. The Audience Award -
Finalists for the Audience Award are selected by website visitors. Each
month (April - September 2009) one video is choosen as the monthly
finalist.  After uploading your video you can ask your friends and fans
to vote for you. Tell them to click on your video and assign a number
of hearts. All monthly finalists are invited to the StrangerAcademy;
the winner is choosen in the StrangerAward Show.

2. Change The World - Change we can believe in, said Obama. Do you believe in change?

3. Art & Creativity  - 2009 is declared the European Year of Creativity and Innovation. How creative are you?

4. About Me - We want to get to know you better. What is your story?

For videos limited to 1 minute:

5. One Minute Of Freedom - any subject

6. Inside Out - about the fine line between being included or excluded

7. Self Portrait - who you are you and what you stand for?

IMPORTANT: By
submitting your work into the competition, you agree to grant the
organisers of the StrangerFestival and partners authorised by the
organisers a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable
right and licence to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, broadcast and
make available to the public. By submitting your work you allow the
organisers to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media
now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may
exist in your contribution.
Please make sure that you have the permission to use the material in
your film. This includes all the people who appear in your video and
