During the second year of StrangerFestival we received around 1100 videos from various European countries and from other regions of the world. All the entries that where sent in before the 15th of August competed in the 2009 Strangerfestival competition. This year's categories where slightly different than those from 2008. The three Strangerfestival categories are; "change the world", "art & creativity' and "about me". Theoneminutesjr project was just like last year also represented with three categories; "one minute of freedom", "inside out" and "self-portrait". This year we also decided to have an audience award that was chosen by the people who visited the website during 2009. The final winner of the audiene award is chosen during the StrangerFestival event in October 2009, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
