How to promote your video, vlog or online profile? Who are Europe’s famous video stars and what can they teach you? This workshop reveals all secrets. Learn the tips and tricks about the use of tags, type of files, use of imagery in videos and copyrights. Bring your own video (on DVD).

How can you translate your personal views on politics and society into solid stories with a clear message? Learn how to express yourself on issues you find important. Dirk Slater and Andrew Lowenthal from the Tactical Technology Collective will teach you how to tackle subjects such as citizen journalism and campaigning, and the boundaries of freedom of speech. Special knowledge of making a video is not a necessity, interest in social/ political themes is.

If possible bring your own previous work, or work done by others you admire.

Get introduced to new ways of integrating video and live performance with Amsterdam based company MC — pioneers in using multimedia for theatre productions. During the workshop you’ll shoot footage and create a live performance using interactive sound and movement technology. The performance you'll help to make will be the opening show for the Award Ceremony on Saturday.

Make a video in one take! On day 1 you learn how to create the story and to operate a camera and lights, and rehearse in a secret setting. On day 2 you’ll finalize the script and shoot your one-take film. No prior experience in making videos is needed. More on Janneke Kupfer and her work here.
